If you change your administrative email contact (to receive the transfer code), GD will prevent transfers to another registrant for TWO MONTHS for “your protection”. Possibly true, possibly another obfuscation step to make it difficult to transfer away. So, if you have any access to the existing email account, use it.

I’m so glad I decided to transfer away from GoDaddy. Their user interface is getting more confusing every day and their prices are going up while the features are going down. Now they want to charge me for everything. Even transferring away from this crappy service is a pain in the ass and they make it very confusing and hard to understand. I can’t believe how hard it was to find the accept transfer link. Glad I found this website.
